Mahendra Singh Dhoni Fails Again but Jharkhand Post Important Win
India's limited overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's indifferent form in domestic cricket continued but his team Jharkhand rode on Saurabh Tiwary's 87 to beat Kerala by five wickets in a Group B match.
After Jharkhand captain Varun Aaron chose to field, his bowling unit restricted Kerala to 236 for eight in 50 overs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Leading the side, Sachin Baby top-scored for Kerala with a sedate 61 off 96 balls, while opener V A Jagadeesh contributed 60 off 98 deliveries.
Mohammed Shami Returns to Cricket But Bengal Lose to Uttar Pradesh
Mohammed Shami got two wickets on his return to competitive cricket after nearly 9 months but Uttar Pradesh comfortably beat Bengal by four wickets in a group D league match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, here today.
Batting first, Bengal managed a modest 221 in 48.3 overs with only Sudip Chatterjee playing well for his 97. In reply, UP always had the game under control as they reached the target in 46.4 overs.

Medium-pacer Harshal Patel bagged 5/21 as Haryana skittled out Jammu and Kashmir for a paltry 75 and cantered to a 10-wicket win in their Group B Vijay Hazare cricket match in Alur on Sunday.
Electing to bat, Jammu and Kashmir batsmen looked all at sea against Harshal's controlled swing bowling and Amit Mishra's (3/4) spin as the bowling duo shared eight wickets between them to wrap up the innings in 22 overs.
Gautam Gambhir Leads From Front, Gives Delhi Easy Win
Skipper Gautam Gambhir and middle-order batsman Milind Kumar hit patient half-centuries as Delhi beat Odisha by five wickets.
Odisha scored 225 for nine in 50 overs with Natraj Behera (50) and Biplab Samantray (47) being the only notable run-getters.
In reply, Delhi scored the required runs in 46.3 overs. Gambhir started the chase with 67 off 82 balls while Milind completed with an unbeaten 89-ball-62.
Kedar Jadhav Century Propels Maharashtra
Maharashtra notched up a comfortable 111-run win over Tripura after Kedar Jadhav hit a brisk 131 in their Group C Vijay Hazare cricket match in New Delhi.
After opting to bat first, Maharashtra skipper Jadhav smashed 131 off just 90 balls at the Air Force Ground at Palam, to guide his team to 294 all out in 49.4 overs.
In reply, Tripura were bundled out for 183 runs in 49.5 overs.
Jiwanjot Singh Helps Punjab to Important Win Against Tamil Nadu
Opener Jiwanjot Singh struck 85 while Mayank Siddana hit a run-a-ball 67 in Punjab's comfortable six-wicket win against Tamil Nadu in a group A league game of the Vijay Hazare Trophy game in Hyderabad.
Tamil Nadu were all out for 226 in 45.3 overs with Dinesh Karthik top-scoring with 69 off 93 balls on a slowish track at the Gymkhana ground.
Vidarbha Halt Baroda's Momentum
