Virender Sehwag to Play in Sachin Tendulkar's All-Stars Series
Virender Sehwag, who quit international cricket last week, will miss the Haryana's two Ranji Trophy games against Assam (November 7) and Odisha (Nov.15).

Dashing opener Virender Sehwag, who announced his retirement from international cricket last week, is the latest high-profile cricketer to join the All-Star Series in the United States, promoted by Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne.

Sehwag will leave for the US after playing Haryana's next Ranji Trophy encounter against Bengal at Lahli which starts from October 30.
The All-Stars T20 matches are scheduled for November 7 in New York, November 11 in Houston and November 14 in Los Angeles.
Thus Sehwag, who is captaining Haryana this season, will miss two matches against Assam, starting November 7 and Odisha on November 15.
"Every match he is part of this team is huge for this team. Every interaction with him benefits the players. We are looking at him mentoring the players and our objective is achieved by his presence around the squad. Once a player has announced his international retirement, anything he contributes at Ranji level we should gleefully accept," Anirudh Chaudhary, secretary of the Haryana Cricket Association, weas quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
