Is BCCI Chief Jagmohan Dalmiya Against Long-Term Role for Sourav Ganguly with Team India?
Sourav Ganguly is the joint secretary of Cricket Association of Bengal. If appointed High Performance Manager of Team India, some say he may struggle to do justice to both his roles.

Former captain Sourav Ganguly is expected to be named the High Performance Manager of the Indian national cricket team. The appointment though is not expected to be for a long term as he is also the joint secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and accompanying the team may hamper his work for the state association.
Media reports quote sources in CAB as saying that Board of Control for India chief Jagmohan Dalmiya is not too keen on a permanent role for Ganguly with the national side. BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur met Dalmiya at his residence on Monday but a formal announcement is not expected before June 6. "Team India will arrive here (Kolkata) on June 5. There will be a fitness test on the next day and team will leave for Bangladesh on June 7. The names of Team Director and support staff will be announced before that," Thakur said. (Read more here)
Ganguly's rich experience makes him an ideal candidate to guide Team India with even Thakur acknowledging his efforts. "Sourav's contribution to Indian cricket has been great. He's been a great cricketer. Whatever we decide will be in the best interest of Indian cricket. Give us some time to decide on that," he said.
If appointed, Ganguly will accompany the team for the series in Bangladesh but it remains to be seen how he would juggle between his two roles if he keeps - or is allowed to keep - both.
