India vs West Indies: Injured Lendl Simmons Ruled Out of Series
West Indies' attacking batsman Lendl Simmons was ruled out of the India tour and had to return homne due to a back injury

West Indies batsman Lendl Simmons has been ruled out of the remainder of the tour of India due to a back injury.
The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) confirmed on twitter that Simmons will return to Trinidad and Tobago to resume his rehabilitation.
WICB advised that Lendl Simmons has been ruled out of the tour of India. He has a back injury and will return to T&T to continue his rehab

The board also tweeted saying Simmons' replacement will soon be named.Simmons did not feature in the first two One-Dayers against India and played in the practice game.
The WICB Selection Panel will meet to name a replacement for Lendl Simmons in the coming days.

The five-match ODI series was shortened to four matches after the third ODI at Vizag was called off due to cyclone HudHud. The fourth ODI will be played in Dharamsala on Friday. The series is currently level on 1-1.
