Just days after Mahendra Singh Dhoni shocked, dazzled and surprised the world by unveiling his new mohawk hairdo, Indian cricket's style-icon Virat Kohli has responded with a style of his own. In a style that resembles the mohawk, Kohli has gone one step further and has added two streaks - one of which cuts into his right eyebrow.
"This is my new hair-cut. I got it done just last night," Kohli was quoted as saying a couple of days ago at an event for a sports brand he endorses. "We were trying something new at a shoot for the sports brand and that's when I got this done, he added. (Related: Kohli tops endorsement earnings)
The media and fans have been whipped into a frenzy with Dhoni's hair being the major point of discussion. However, the Indian skipper claims to have never seen his own new hairdo. "I met my hair-stylist and sat down. She decided to give me a new hairstyle. I have not looked in the mirror since," Dhoni said.
From Ravindra Jadeja's 'afro' to Shikhar Dhawan's moustache, Indian cricketers are leaving no stone unturned to increase their style-quotient. With Dhoni and Kohli joining the bandwagon as well, this trend is here to stay.
