Australia openers David Warner and Ed Cowan gave their side a solid start but India clawed back with a few wickets on Day 2 of the Mohali Test. A look at the statistical highlights.
# David Warner (71) has recorded his highest score against India in India, surpassing the 59 at Chennai in the first Test of the present series.
# Warner's second fifty against India is his seventh in Tests. His career-best is 180 against India at Perth in January 2012.
# Ed Cowan (86) has registered his second highest score in Tests, next only to the 136 against South Africa at Brisbane in November 2012.
# Cowan's sixth fifty in Tests is his third against India. ÂÂ
# The 139-run partnership is the first century stand for Australia in the present series, not involving their captain, Michael Clarke. Clarke and Henriques had shared 151-run partnership for the sixth wicket at Chennai and Clarke and Wade had recorded 145 for the fifth wicket at Hyderabad.
