Suspended IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi on Tuesday will issue his reply to the third show cause notice slapped on him by the BCCI alleging irregularities.

Mumbai:

Suspended IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi on Tuesday will issue his reply to the third show cause notice slapped on him by the Cricket Board alleging irregularities in the awarding of theatrical rights during the third season of the T20 league, his legal counsel said.

"Modi is in Europe and he is fine tuning his reply to the third show cause notice and will meet the deadline tomorrow (Tuesday)."

He will sent the reply online and the hard copy will be given to the BCCI subsequently," Modi's legal counsel Mehmood Abdi said.

"Since the show cause pertains to short points relating to FCT rights etc, the reply will not be as bulky as the one to the first show cause notice. We will see that it clarifies Modi's position from all angles," he said.

"Though I don't want to trivialise the issue it mainly deals with routine procedural issues. It has really nothing as substantive to issue a separate show cause still BCCI preferred to create a mountain out of a molehill," Abdi said.
