The decision was taken by the Mumbai Cricket Cricket after getting a no-objection certificate from Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday.

The media box at the Wankhede stadium here will be named after the late Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray, Mumbai Cricket Association announced on Tuesday.

"I and MCA president (Ravi Sawant) today met Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray to get an NOC from him to name the media box after Balasaheb Thackeray. He thanked us and agreed to the proposal," Dr PV Shetty, joint secretary of MCA, said.

The managing committee of MCA had already decided to name the media box after the late Shiv Sena chief provided his family agreed, Shetty informed.
