Live Score: South Africa vs West Indies
That ends the T20I series. Do join us for the first ODI on 16th January at 1700 IST. Until then it's goodbye from all of us out here!
Chris Gayle is named the Man of the Series for his 167 runs at a strike rate of 231.94 in the two matches he played.
Morne van Wyk is the Man of the Match for his brilliant century.
In the second half it was David Wiese's turn to shine with the bowl, who was economical and picked up his 5 wickets as well to guide the hosts to victory and end the series 2-1.
It was indeed a professional performance by the hosts, first Morne van Wyk and Reeza Hendricks started off well with a 111-run partnership and once Reeza went, van Wyk steadied the innings in the middle overs and went full force in the last 5 overs scoring his maiden 100 on the way and carrying the bat till the end.
South Africa salvage pride with this win! West Indies started well with Simmons going all guns at the Protea attack, however with his dismissal West Indies lost their way and South Africa wrapped up the middle and lower middle order rather cheaply. David Wiese was the star with the ball picking up his maiden 5-fer and was supported well by Marchant de Lange and Parnell who picked up two wickets each. West Indies dearly missed the GAYLESTORM tonight.
OUT! THAT'S IT! WEST INDIES ARE ALL OUT FOR 126! Yorker from de Lange and Cottrell has no idea how to reply that one. It crashes onto his stumps and the LED flashes. de Lange celebrates! SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY 69 RUNS.
Full outside off, Pollard steers it past backward point for a single.
Sheldon Cottrell is the next man in.
OUT! de Lange picks a wicket as well! Fuller length ball around off, Nurse gets a touch across and lofts it towards Duminy at mid on who takes an easy catch. West Indies are nine down now.
