So that brings us to an end of the formalities of this game. The playoffs race is still open as we head in to the final weekend of the league stage. Hope you enjoyed all the coverage today. Join us tomorrow for a double header. Gujarat host Hyderabad in the first game at 1600 local, 1030 GMT and this will be followed by Kolkata hosting Mumbai at 2000 local, 1430 GMT. Both are big games with the first match being more crucial. Till then, goodbye from us.
Karun Nair (Man of the Match) says that the idea for him was to bat through the innings after losing early wickets. Adds that he wanted to play normal cricket. Opines that the track was stopping a touch when the bowlers hit the deck hard but otherwise played okay. Remarks that it has been a good experience for him and his young three Indian mates in the top order (Pant, Iyer and Samson). Ends by saying that he is happy for his form even if it has come late.
Delhi skipper Zaheer Khan says that winning always makes one feel good. Adds that they want to keep winning games and he hopes the team does the same in the last game. Calls it a different wicket. Admits that they wanted 170 on this track. Is happy that they got early wickets since the spinners were bound to make an impact in the game. Does not believe that the schedule cost them. Rues the fact that they did not make most of the chances given to them. Mentions that there are other things to look at and get better. On the first delivery to Rahane, he replies that he got everything right and it worked for him today.
Pune skipper, Steven Smith says that they gave away extra runs in the field. Feels that 160 was par on this wicket. Rues losing wickets at the wrong times in the chase. Rubs off claims that they are taking too much pressure about the qualification. Confesses that every game is a final for them from now. Adds that they are aware that a result in their favour tomorrow will see them through, if not, they will look to give their best. Ends saying that they cannot win every game, admits that they lacked in a few areas and hopes that they work on them.
Zaheer Khan was the standout bowler for Delhi as he led by example. The others rallied around him with Shami and Cummins doing well in the death overs. The fielding was bit sloppy from the hosts which complicated things for them but they managed to hang on in the crunch situations to deny Pune a win. This loss means that the visitors have to win their next game to qualify unless Hyderabad lose tomorrow.
What a finish! Delhi held their nerve to emerge victorious by a slender margin. Despite losing the openers cheaply, Pune were doing well in the chase with Smith and Tiwary playing fluently. Although the skipper departed, the latter motored along with the aggressive Stokes hitting well. However, the visitors lost the Englishman and then veteran Dhoni quickly and the tide turned. With 25 needed off the final over, Tiwary smoked two biggies off the first two deliveries to liven things but eventually couldn't finish it off.

Pat Cummins To Manoj Tiwary OUT!
OUT! DELHI WIN BY 7 RUNS! Fuller around middle, Tiwary looks to slog across the line but fails to connect as the stumps are destroyed. After the two big hits in the first two balls, great comeback from Cummins as he held his nerve well.

Pat Cummins To Manoj Tiwary
Four Leg byes! Yorker on off stump, Tiwary fails to dig it out and it goes off the pads past the stumps and keeper. The ball races to the third man fence. Delhi won't mind it as a biggie was needed for Pune.

Pat Cummins To Manoj Tiwary
ANOTHER DOT! Tiwary cannot believe it. Premeditates the paddle and makes good connection but straight to the man at short fine leg.

Pat Cummins To Manoj Tiwary
Very full around middle, dug out towards mid on. Denies the single and rightly so.

Pat Cummins To Manoj Tiwary
Pressure telling on Cummins. Sprays this down the leg side and Tiwary fails to put bat on ball. Pant does well to make a good stop.

Pat Cummins To Manoj Tiwary
SIX! WHAT A SHOT! Game on now, folks! Very full and outside off, Tiwary somehow gets under this and jabs it over deep cover for a biggie. Such a tough shot to play but he has aced it, that too under pressure. 13 FROM 4 NOW.
6th Indian T20 League fifty for Manoj Tiwary!

Pat Cummins To Manoj Tiwary
SIX! LAUNCHED! Tiwary isn't done yet. Slower and short around off, he shuffles across to pull it easily over deep square leg for a maximum. Clinical strike under pressure. 19 NEEDED FROM 5 NOW.
Cummins to bowl the final over. He has more than enough in the bank to defend, 24 runs. Barring a miracle, Delhi have this in the bag.

Mohammed Shami To Daniel Christian OUT!
OUT! GOT HIM! Delhi are wresting control of the game as we head to the finish. Christian premeditates the paddle scoop but is hit on the pads it just goes past the diving keeper down the leg side. Strong lbw appeal and it is given by the umpire. That looked plumb to the naked eye. Another important thing is that if the decision wasn't given, it would have been four leg byes.

    Mohammed Shami To Daniel Christian
Fine yorker around middle, dug out through mid on and they scamper back for the second run. Delhi won't mind these as long as the boundaries don't come.
Mohammed Shami back on for his final over.

Pat Cummins To MS Dhoni OUT!
OUT! DHONI DEPARTS! What a wicket this is for Delhi! Length ball around off, Dhoni fails to get bat on it and the ball lobs up off the pads towards short fine leg. Dhoni is a bit slow to take off and is ball watching as Shami fires a throw at the bowler's end. By the time, MS realizes that he is in trouble, he is late as the direct hit catches him just short. Replays confirm it and Dhoni has to walk back. How often do you see him getting run out? Delhi on top at the moment. 35 needed from 15 balls now.
This is going down the wire here. Dhoni was slow to take off and that cost him his wicket it seems.
There is a run out appeal at the bowler's end. MS Dhoni seems to be a goner here.
