Alastair Cook, the England captain, was 64 not out and Alex Hales 50 not out, with the duo having compiled their first century stand in 18 innings together as a Test match opening pair. Misbah-ul-Haq's 56 on Friday was his third fifty of the series, while wicket-keeper Sarfraz Ahmed bolstered Pakistan's total with an unbeaten 46.

Anderson looked the most threatening bowler for England but the pacer was taken off the attack as he ran on the danger area multiple times. That's a good reply by Pakistan with the bat as they've got a handy lead of 103 runs. The foundation was laid perfectly by Azhar Ali and Sami Aslam yesterday as the duo stitched a 181-run stand. England came back hard today and kept on taking wickets at regular intervals. But that didn't stop Misbah from scoring another fifty. Sarfraz's handy knock towards the end helped Pakistan reach the 400-run mark.
