Kulkarni to lead Mumbai XI against Lankans

Mumbai: Lanky left-arm spinner Nilesh Kulkarni would lead Mumbai Cricket Association President's XI in a limited overs warm-up match against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede stadium on October 22. Announcing the team today, MCA's joint secretary Lalchand Rajput said the proceeds of the match, to be telecast live on Doordarshan, would go to the Maharashtra CM's Flood Relief Fund. The Lankans are slated to arrive in Mumbai on October 20 and have requested a practice game ahead of their seven-match limited overs international series against the hosts commencing on October 25 at Nagpur. The Lankans are making a visit to India after a gap of seven years. MCA XI squad: Nilesh Kulkarni (capt), Vinayak Mane, Robin Morris, Nishit Shetty, Amol Muzumdar, Parag Madkaikar, Wilkin Mota, Abhishek Nair, Vinayak Samant (wk), Usman Malvi, Avishkar Salvi, Aniket Redkar, Swapnil Hazare, Praful Waghela and Rohit Sharma.
