New Delhi:
Under the original Champions Trophy schedule where Rawalpindi was one of the designated venues, the England and South African teams could have been staying at the Marriott. That's because England and South Africa were due to play a match in Rawalpindi and teams playing in Rawalpindi usually stay in neighbouring Islamabad.
Rawalpindi was later dropped as a venue with the ICC deciding the tournament would be held in Karachi and Lahore. With teams being skeptical about the security conditions, the tournament was eventually postponed to September 2009.
