Irfan Pathan replaces injured Vinay Kumar for Sri Lanka tour

Irfan Pathan has relaced R. Vinay Kumar in the Indian side for the upcoming tour to Sri Lanka after the Karnataka cricketer was ruled out with a hamstring injury he sustained while training.

Irfan Pathan has replaced R. Vinay Kumar in the Indian side for the upcoming tour to Sri Lanka after the Karnataka cricketer was ruled out with a hamstring injury he sustained while training, a BCCI release said.

Kumar suffered a Grade I right hamstring injury while training on Thursday. He is expected to regain match-fitness in three weeks.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee chose the left-armer, ahead of other contenders, as his replacement in the Indian squad.
