Murali Vijay, man-of-the-match: The wicket was playing a little slow. I have been hitting the ball really well in domestic cricket and if I can pull off a few good knocks for the Daredevils it will be great. The crowds have been great and it has been fun playing in the UAE.

That's the end of this game. Coming up: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Chennai Super Kings

Kevin Pietersen, Delhi Daredevils captain: Our bowlers were fantastic today. It was a difficult wicket to bat on but the team showed good application. The boys showed some real calm and executed all the skills we talked about yesterday. I though the way Vijay played was great - what a player. It's for us to keep calm and keep doing the right things.

Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians captain: Our batting was a problem again. 126 was not a score we were looking at. We needed to post something for the bowlers to defend. We definitely need to work on the batting. We tried everything possible; we changed the batting line up but nothing worked.

19:22 IST: Delhi Daredevils win by six wickets- Delhi Daredevils made heavy weather of a chase of 126 but a steady Murali Vijay at the top and a calm Kevin Pietersen towards the end helped the side cross the line against Mumbai Indians, who remained the only side in IPL 2014 without a win. Having restricted the Daredevils to 125/6, DD got off to a good start before a spectacular catch by Michael Hussey brought about the end of Quinton de Kock. Vijay anchored the chase with a composed innings and despite Malinga striking twice in the 16th over to knock off JP Duminy and Dinesh Karthik, Pietersen kept the scoreboard moving in the company of Kedar Kadhav as Delhi Daredevils notched up their second win of the season.

19:10 IST: FOUR! Jadhav plays it fine as the ball reaches the fence. Both camps are looking nervous but it's still advantage DD.

19:09 IST: Zaheer Khan back in the attack.

19:06 IST: WICKET! Another one from Malinga as he sends Karthik away for two. Two strikes in the same over. Is there a twist in the tale? Jadhav the new man in for DD, who are 105/4 off 15.5 overs

19:04 IST: Back after the timeout and it's Karthik who joins his skipper in the middle. Malinga looking for a few wickets.

19:00 IST: WICKET! Malinga back in the attack and removes Duminy off the second ball of his new spell. DD 103/3 off 15.2 and it's a strategic timeout.

18:58 IST: DD are 103/2 off 15 overs and are closing in on an easy win.

18:56 IST: SIX! Pietersen powers that into the stands off Rohit Sharma. Brilliant hit. FOUR! Another lovely shot by KP. Captain takes on captain.

18:55 IST: DD are 86/1 after 14 overs and look well on course for a win over MI.

18:47 IST: Rohit Sharma brings himself on as a last resort. WICKET! And the captain strikes immediately, as Vijay missed the line and had his timber disturbed for 40 off 34 balls. DD 79/2 off 12.2 overs.

18:44 IST: SIX! Vijay hoists Ojha into the stands - gets maximum for some wonderful timing. The game is slipping away quickly from the Mumbai Indians. DD are 78/1 off 12 overs.

8:42 IST: Ricky Ponting has joined the Mumbai Indians as advisor and they have the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, John Wright and Anil Kumble. Yet, the defending champs look like they are headed for their fourth successive defeat. What an irony!

18:41 IST: FOUR! Vijay creams Anderson to the fence. Good looking shot again.

18:38 IST: Halfway through the stage, the Daredevils are 55/1 and need 71 from 10 overs.

18:34 IST: Harbhajan Singh on for his last over after the timeout as Duminy takes strike. A single brings up the 50 for DD.

18:32 IST: DD are 49/1 after 9 overs and it's the strategic timeout

18:28 IST: FOUR! Lovely timing from Vijay off the bowling of Harbhajan. DD are 45/1 off 8 overs.

18:22 IST: WICKET! Stunning catch by Hussey at point. Anderson gets the wicket of de Kock but only thanks to a sensational catch from the veteran Australian. DD: 34/1 off 6.5 overs.

18:18 IST: Just one run off that over from Harbhajan. DD are 31/0 after 6 overs.

18:16 IST: Delhi Daredevils are 30/0 after 5 overs as Harbhajan continues. This is a solid start in pursuit of a small total.

18:14 IST: Wide from Malinga and the ball hits the helmet behind the 'keeper as Karthik loses control of the ball. DD get six added to their total.

18:11 IST: Malinga back into the attack with DD 22/0 off four overs after an expensive first over from Harbhajan Singh.

18:08 IST: Yet another change as Harbhajan Singh comes into the attack.

18:07 IST: Good first over from Zaheer - just two off it. DD are 14/0 after the 3rd.

18:04 IST: First bowling change. Zaheer Khan replaces Malinga for the third over.

18:00 IST: Ojha to bowl the second over. FOUR! Vijay plays that beautifully, inside out. Good placement that.

17:58 IST:FOUR! de Kock flicks that past square leg to the fence. DD are 6/0 off the first over.

17:55 IST: Lasith Malinga with the new ball. de Kock and Vijay, the openers for the Daredevils.

17:39 IST: Mumbai Indians are 125/6 off 20 overs after opting to bat against the Delhi Daredevils. It was another mediocre batting performance by the defending champions, who struggled to get going on a slow wicket. Rohit Sharma opened with Aditya Tare and Michael Hussey came in lower down the order but the change in the batting line-up did not make a difference. Cameos from CM Gautam (22) and Kieron Pollard (33 not out) helped Mumbai Indians post a respectable total.

17:35 IST: FOUR! Harbhajan slams that through covers off Unadkat. Mumbai Indians are getting some useful runs in the end. SIX! That was a big one, muscled over mid-wicket by Harbhajan.

17:33 (IST) FOUR! and SIX! Pollard finishes the penultimate over in style. That six was 100 metres, the biggest of the IPL 2014.

17:31 IST: WICKET! A misunderstanding with Pollard between results in Gautam's run-out. Mumbai Indians are 103/6 off 18.4 overs as Harbhajan Singh comes to the middle.

17:25 IST: No-ball from Parnell and it's a free-hit and Gautam smashes it for FOUR! 100 up for the Mumbai Indians off 17.3 overs.

17:22 IST: Unadkat to Gautam. FOUR! FOUR! FOUR! Some good improvisation by Gautam as MI take 14 off the over. 94/5 after the 17th.

17:15 IST: SIX! Pollard lofts Shami high and deposits him in the long-on fence. Cracking shot. MI: 80/5 off 16 overs

17:05 IST: WICKET! Unadkat changes his pace and a slow delivery gets rid of Hussey. Mumbai Indians are 63/5 off 13.5 overs.

17:02 IST: Unadkat in the attack at a time when Mumbai Indians will certainly look to up the ante.

16:59 IST: Strategic timeout as MI reach 59/4 with seven overs to go.

16:56 IST: MI are 54/4 as Shukla comes into the attack.

16:48 IST: Halfway through the innings, Mumbai Indians are 49/4. Hussey and Pollard have to see the side through to the end of the innings.

16:42 IST: WICKET! A nothing shot from Rayudu off Nadeem finds Shukla in the deep. Mumbai Indians are coming apart - 46/4 after the 9th.

16:35 IST: Back after the timeout and Hussey is in the middle and he's off the mark off his first ball. MI: 41/3 off 7 overs.

16:31 IST: WICKET! Unadkat strikes in his first over. Poor shot from Anderson as de Kock takes another catch in the deep. MI: 39/3 off 6.4 overs and it's strategic timeout.

16:29 IST: Bowling change. Jaydev Unadkat into the attack.

16:28 IST: Mumbai Indians are 37/2 at the end of the powerplay. Anderson and Rayudu need to develop a partnership here to set the stage for Pollard later. But where will Hussey bat. Sure he has to be the next man in?

16:27 IST: FOUR! Short ball from Shami goes wrong as it sits up nicely for Anderson, who dismisses it from his presence.

16:23 IST: FOUR! Anderson slams Duminy to the fence as MI reach 31/2 off 5 overs.

16:19 IST: Mumbai Indians are 21/2 after 4 overs - not the kind of start they would have liked after electing to bat first.

16:15 IST: WICKET! Wayne Parnell strikes as Tare holds out to de Kock in the deep. This is a poor, poor start for Mumbai Indians, who are 17/2 off 3.2 overs. Ambati Rayudu joins Anderson in the middle.

16:10 IST: Corey Anderson, the new man in faces up to JP Duminy. Still no sign of Michael Hussey.

16:08 (IST): FOUR! Tare pulls that away for good results. A firm blow after an early loss. MI: 14/1 after two overs.

16:07 IST: Mohammad Shami to bowl the second over. WICKET! What was Rohit Sharma doing? He just tapped the ball and ran, stuttered and a direct throw from Shami caught Sharma short of the ground at the non-striker's end. MI 10/1 off 1.4 overs

16:00 IST: Rohit Sharma has come out to open, with Aditya Tare and he is off the mark with a single. MI are 7/0 after the 1st over.

15:32 (IST): Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bat against the Delhi Daredevils. Mumai Indians are unchanged while Delhi Daredevils have made one change. Kedar Jadhav in for Manoj Tiwary.

Languishing at the bottom of the table, Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians will be in desperate search of an elusive win when they clash in Sharjah for the first of two games on Sunday. Their failure to set the tournament on fire so far, has bewildered many, given their apparent firepower. If Mumbai have the likes of Michael Hussey, Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard in their disposal, the Daredevils have been blessed with the might of Kevin Pietersen, JP Duminy and Dinesh Karthik besides Ross Taylor, who had to make way for the regular captain in the last game.

The Daredevils have won just one out for their four games, while Mumbai Indians have failed to win any of their three. Not since 2008, the inaugural IPL, have the Mumbai Indians found themselves in such a spot. It is not a pleasant feeling to be without a win, two weeks into a tournament and when you are the defending champions, it makes things that much worse.

Mumbai Indians have been one of the more successful sides in the Indian Premier League and to top that, they are the defending champions. However, despite retaining the core of the side for this year's tournament, the Mumbai Indians have failed to get their first points on the board. The batting has looked erratic and the bowling has been average at best. Rohit Sharma's 100th IPL game on Friday turned out to be a huge disappointment, when his side was crushed by the Chennai Super Kings. Three losses out of three games do not make for pretty reading and the team would be desperate for a win against the Delhi Daredevils on Sunday.

Mumbai Indians may not have played like defending champions, but the Delhi Daredevils have not done any better either - managing just one win from their four games so far. Despite the return of Kevin Pietersen, they went down to the Sunrirsers Hyderabad on Friday in a close game. Pietersen will be expected to play a key role but so will the others, who have clearly failed to contribute so far. There is no dearth of talent for the Daredevils but they will need to raise their game against the Mumbai Indians, who will be hurting from their three defeats on the trot.
