The most vital cog in the Rajasthan Royals line-up, all-rounder Shane Watson has earned accolades from skipper Rahul Dravid, who says the Aussie is one sportsman who "truly embodies daring spirit".
"Shane Watson is one sportsman who truly embodies the daring spirit and has the ability to execute his skills under pressure cooker situations," Dravid said of the Australian.
Watson has been prolific with the bat this season of the Indian Premier League, scoring a ton and missing out on another by two runs. He was also handy with the ball, giving his team crucial breakthroughs.
"Shane's sheer impact and ability to change the course of the game within a few overs has earned him the nick name of the 'Dew or Die' player on the field," said the former India captain.
Rajasthan Royals have created its own 'Dew or Die' chant with Mountain Dew, which will be aired on Sunday during the Extra Innings show.
When asked what the chant means, Dravid said, "Dew or Die spirit is about fighting till the end and finding a way to win from any situation. It also means staying composed when you know you have to execute your skill under pressure."
Rajasthan are currently third in the points table with six losses and three defeats.
