Rohit Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Stuart Binny were not picked for the first India versus South Africa Test under way in Mohali. They will now assist their respective Ranji Trophy teams.

Left out of the playing XI of the first Test between India and South Africa under way in Mohali, Rohit Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Stuart Binny have been released from the national team and have been asked to play Ranji Trophy instead. (SCORECARD)
Rohit Sharma lost out to Cheteshwar Pujara while Varun Aaron was preferred over Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the Mohali Test. Ravindra Jadeja won his spot ahead of Stuart Binny as India needed a spinning all-rounder at No. 7.
According to a BCCI release, all three players will join the squad ahead of the second Test in Bangalore from November 14. Punjab players Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Mandeep Singh will assist the Indian Team as reserve players in Mohali.
Rohit plays for Mumbai while Bhuvneshwar and Binny will turn out for Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, respectively, when the next set of Ranji matches begin on November 7.
