Â
13:05 hrs IST:Â Spin from both ends as Ravichandran Ashwin is introduced
13:03 hrs IST:Â After 14 overs of pace bowling, Virat Kohli introduces spin, brings on Ravindra Jadeja!
12:59 hrs IST:Â Shouldn't a guy like Jadeja be fielding at point? Virat Kohli acts like a skipper. Goes to Gambhir, gives him a five, pats his back and goes back to his position
12:55 hrs IST: Dropped! Gautam Gambhir drops Ronchi at point! Was straight at him and should have been taken!
12:52 hrs IST:Â New Zealand reach 50 in the 13th over of their innings, decent run rate.
12:50 hrs IST:Â The uncovered parts of the ground are more or less empty. A hot day in Kolkata?
12:47 hrs IST:Â A glorious straight drive by Ronchi. Beautiful to look at.

12:37 hrs IST:Â What a shot! SIXÂ from Ronchi over deep mid wicket! Superb shot
12:33 hrs IST:Â Bhuvneshwar and Shami have bowled the first 10 overs of the day. When will Kohli introduce spin? That is the question

12:30 hrs IST:Â Ross Taylor and Luke Ronchi will have to play the innings of their life time to rescue New Zealand out of this

11:10 hrs IST:Â New Zealand openers Tom Latham and Martin Guptill are out there with Bhuvneshwar Kumar with the ball
11:05 hrs IST:Â The New Zealanders should be out to bat soon before lunch.
11:03 hrs IST:Â Good session from India's point of view and frustrating one for New Zealand. They would have expected to bowl out India early but Saha provided the resistance. Gritty knock from the local boy
11:01 hrs IST:Â Shami was the last wicket to fall as he got caught off bouncer at long leg thanks to a stunning catch from Matt Henry

Â
Â
09:30 hrs IST:Â This is going to be an interesting morning session. How will the Indian lower order be able to respond to the New Zealand attack.
09:25 hrs IST:Â Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the second Test between India and New Zealand.
Ravindra Jadeja and local boy Wriddhiman Saha will have their task cut out when New Zealand attack with the second new ball. Matt Henry and Trent Boult are expected to fire on all cylinders to restrict India (239/7 off 86 overs at stumps on Day 1) to below 250 and then try and apply themselves on the newly-laid Eden Gardens strip.
India have adequate bowling arsenal to challenge the Kiwis, who are without batting mainstay and captain Kane Williamson. But stand-in captain Ross Taylor, who marshalled his bowlers exceedingly well on a hot and humid day, will hope to score runs in a big game for him and his team.
New Zealand's batting will face a solid test for sure. Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (he replaced the quicker Umesh Yadav) are great movers of the ball and left-arm spinner Jeetan Patel's two wickets will give a lot of hope to Jadeja and his off-spinning partner Ravichandran Ashwin.
