Chandigarh:
The two teams landed at the Air Force station at 4 pm local time with 300 commandos and 700 police personnel deployed for their safety in the wake of recent terror attacks in Mumbai.
The match was originally scheduled to be played in Mumbai but the venue was shifted to Mohali following the Mumbai carnage.
India is leading the two-match series 1-0.
Virender Sehwag, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra and Gautam Gambhir were not among the Indian players that arrived here on Tuesday.
A PCA spokesman said the four players will join the team on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police (Security) H S Doon said police have deployed a strong contingent of 1000 security personnel, including 300 commandos to ensure fool proof security cover.
"Commandos have also been deployed at each floor of the hotel Taj where the two teams will stay," he said.
The cavalcade of the team comprised about 10 vehicles, including Light Machine Gun mounted vehicle. The movement of the traffic on the roads leading to hotel was also restricted, police said.
Meanwhile, at the PCA and hotel Taj a ring of three-tier security had been thrown to prevent any untoward incident.
Hotel sources said both the teams would be adjusted on one or two floors of Taj and no other visitor other than the team members will be provided with a room to stay on that floor.
"A safe house with fool proof security and good living conditions has been made in the vicinity of the PCA stadium to shift and secure players in case of any eventuality," Mohali SSP J S Aulakh said.
The two teams will be having nets on Wednesday.
