ICC set to launch International T20 rankings

The ICC declared that the ICC Twenty20 International (T20I) team and player rankings official launch ceremony will be held at the International Cricket Council (ICC) headquarters in Dubai on Monday, October 24.

New Delhi:

The ICC declared that the ICC Twenty20 International (T20I) team and player rankings official launch ceremony will be held at the International Cricket Council (ICC) headquarters in Dubai on Monday, October 24.

ICC General Manager - cricket - David Richardson, creator of team rankings David Kendix and some key members of Pakistan and Sri Lanka cricket will conduct a media briefing after the conclusion of the ceremony.

The first set of the rankings are being released ahead of the India-England T20 which will be played in Kolkata on October 27.

The ICC also declared that in the lead-up to next year's ICC World Twenty20 2012 in Sri Lanka, at least 12 T20Is featuring the full members will be played. In addition to these, some of the matches in next year's ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier 2012, which will be staged in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 14-25 March, will also have T20I status.
