  • Murali Vijay (42 off 28 balls) has recorded his highest innings in the IPL but his performance has been below average in the IPL overall, aggregating 155 in ten matches at an average of 17.22.

  • For Chennai Super Kings, Matthew Hayden is the first player to complete 200 runs in the third edition of the IPL, aggregating 215 (ave.30.71) in seven matches.

  • Naman Ojha's brilliant knock of 80 off 49 balls is his third fifty in the IPL - his first in the 2010 edition.

  • Ojha's aforesaid innings is the second highest for Rajasthan Royals in the 2010 competition - the highest being Yusuf Pathan's outstanding 100 off 37 balls against Mumbai at Brabourne Stdium, Mumbai on March 13.

  • Ojha has been adjudged the Man of the Match for the first time in the IPL.

  • Shaun Tait's excellent tally of 9 wickets at 18.55 runs apiece in six games is exceeded only by Muttiah Muralitharan in the 2010 edition of the IPL - 11 in seven matches at an average of 16.00.

  • In Twenty20, Tait (2/22) has completed his 50 wickets, claiming 51 at 15.45 runs apiece in 29 matches.

  • After Punjab, Chennai Super Kings is the second team to lose five games in the 2010 IPL competition.

  • Rajasthan Royals became the third team after Bangalore and Mumbai to have won four games in the third edition of the IPL.

  • Albie Morkel has completed his century of matches in Twenty20, having represented South Africa, Titans, Durham and Chennai Super Kings. He is the first player to do so.

  • The five batsmen with highest run-aggregate in IPL are: Adam Gilchrist (1081), Suresh Raina (1049), Matthew Hayden (976), Yusuf Pathan (928) and Gautam Gambhir (901).
