Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and his wife Geeta Basra became proud parents of a baby girl on Thursday.
The couple had tied the knot in October last year. The wedding ceremony was attended by a host of high-profile guests, including MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, et al.
Harbhajan Singh, one of India's leading spinners of all time, last played for the country in the 2016 Asia Cup, which India won after beating hosts Bangladesh in the final.
The off-spinner's last appearance came against UAE, in India's penultimate match at the tournament. Harbhajan Singh had returned with figures of one wicket for 11 runs in his four overs during the game.
The 36-year-old bowler has taken 417 wickets in 103 Tests and 269 wickets in 236 ODI matches.
Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh's former teammate Virender Sehwag has taken to Twitter to convey his best wishes to the new parents.
