New Delhi:
Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar said the latest match-fixing scandal surrounding the Pakistan cricket team is one of the worst incidents.
"One of the things it's gonna do is destroy everyone's faith in the game," Gavaskar said.
He also asked for strong action against the guilty. "Life ban is not enough, the guilty should have all their records erased as if they never played cricket," he said. (Watch: Life ban is not enough: Gavaskar)
He also said that whether it is spot fixing or match fixing, both need to be dealt with same severity.
He also said that bowling a no-ball on purpose is as serious as getting out cheaply.
