GCA lifts ban on Swapnil Asnodkar
Swapnil Asnodkar's plea for forgiveness after his decision to go for a draw against Maharashta after opposing the advice of the team management and coach, has been accepted by the Goa Cricket Association (GCA), which has decided to lift the ban imposed on him.

Swapnil Asnodkar's plea for forgiveness after his decision to go for a draw against Maharashta after opposing the advice of the team management and coach, has been accepted by the Goa Cricket Association (GCA), which has decided to lift the ban imposed on him.
"Swapnil has accepted his mistake and his plea for forgiveness was accepted by the managing committee of GCA after discussing in detail all the issues and circumstances decided to remove the ban imposed on him," said GCA secretary Prasad Phaterpekar.
Swapnil is now eligible for selection for the 2011-12 season. Goa captain Shadab Jakati, who had injured his finger, has also recovered and is available for selection, he said.
The selection committee of GCA is scheduled to meet on November 25 to select the team for the next Ranji Plate group B match, against Hyderabad, which starts on November 29.
