Bangalore :
Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly hinted at the possibility of playing three spinners in the first cricket Test against Australia tomorrow.
"That's a possibility, looking at the surface," said Ganguly at the function to unveil the Border-Gavaskar trophy.
"I have never seen a pitch like this in Bangalore. So dry and so many cracks. I think it can help fast bowlers once the ball gets old. But spinners will get lot of help from this surface," he added.
Ganguly also dismissed fears that the team would have problems in adapting to the longer version of the game after playing so many one-day series.
"As professionals I dont think that could be an excuse. In international itinarary, cricketers should adjust to both forms of the game quickly. They should adapt to the situation as quickly as possible," he said.
Ganguly said that playing Australia has always been challenging and felt that the current series would be equally competitive like the last two ones.
"The last six Tests between the two teams lasted for five days. I hope its not as competitive as those two series. Its hard for both sides," said Ganguly. (PTI)
