Suryakumar Yadav made his India debut in the T20Is vs England in March
Suryakumar Yadav, who recently made a stunning start to his international career, hosted a Q and A session on Instagram on Saturday. Fans came up with a variety of questions for the Mumbai Indians star batsman. From his favourite shot to the best innings of his life, Suryakumar answered all queries from fans. The 30-year-old batsman, while answering questions from fans, also described current India skipper Virat Kohli and former India captain MS Dhoni in one word. For Kohli, he used the term "inspiration" and for Dhoni, he came up with "legend".
A fan asked Suryakumar to describe his Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma in one word as well. The right-handed batsman called him "Hitman".
Talking further about the best innings of his life, Suryakumar Yadav posted a picture from his Twenty20 International debut against England where he got off the mark with a six over fine-leg off Jofra Archer.
Suryakumar, after performing well for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League and scoring big runs in other domestic tournaments, earned his maiden India call-up during the limited-overs series against England earlier this year.
Suryakumar played three matches in the five-game series against England and scored 89 runs in two innings at an average of 44.50. His strike-rate during his first couple of outings in international cricket was over 185.
The middle-order batsman was also named in the ODI series but did not get a game.
With India slated to play Sri Lanka in six limited-overs matches in July, Suryakumar is expected to be in the squad which will be without their star players as Virat Kohli and others will be in the UK for the World Test Championship final and the subsequent five-match series against England. Â
