London:

England's fifth Ashes Test squad was retrieved from a dust-bin by a British journalist at Trent Bridge on Friday, media claimed on Monday.

"It contained the 14 names unveiled yesterday by national selector Geoff Miller," the Daily Mirror reported.

The list, which included uncapped Jonathan Trott's name while Ravi Bopara was missing, "was revealed in most English newspapers two days before it was set to be officially unveiled," it said.

Mark Ramprakash was also not among the squad members.

"What was most baffling for the authorities was that the note contained only 14 names when the panel spent hours choosing five squads, including the one-day picks for the Champions Trophy, Twenty20 double header and NatWest Series," the report added.

It provided Australia with some crucial hints to chalk out strategy for South African-born Trott, who will bat at No 5 for England in Thursday's Ashes-deciding Oval Test.

A few days back former Australian opener Justin Langer's dossier on England team had also leaked.
