New Delhi:

England are set to go ahead with Monday's one-day game against Pakistan despite more twists in the spot-fixing saga that has overshadowed the series.

England were furious over reports that Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt told NDTV that team members were paid to lose the third game.

Pakistan beat England in Friday's one-dayer at the Oval by 23 runs after the home side, chasing 242 to win, lost their last five wickets for just 17 runs.

The International Cricket Council ordered a probe after a British tabloid passed on information that the scoring patterns during Pakistan's innings were similar to the ones determined by bookies in India and UAE.

England lead the five-match series 2-1 and the series is due to conclude at Hampshire's Rose Bowl ground near Southampton on Wednesday.
