5.5 OUT! CHIPPED TO TONGUE! A soft, soft dismissal for Awais. Quite unusual for an opener to get dismissed in this fashion. Good-length delivery that spits up a bit from the surface, on middle and leg. Azan Awais tries to nudge that into the leg side, but the ball seemingly holds on the surface and arrives a fraction late. End result? Awais already goes through his shot and the ball gets chipped towards short mid-wicket. Josh Tongue dives forward and scoops the ball nice and clean to send Awais packing. The smile is back on Jofra Archer's face after Ben Duckett's dropped catch a couple of balls ago. Pakistan have slipped down to 14/2.  14/2

8.2 OUT! EDGED AND CAUGHT! Number 2 for Robinson and he just keeps improving his credentials in the longest format. Full in length, angled in from off, Abdullah Shafique is forced to play at it. Tries to push it straight, but his bat comes down at an awkward angle. That's inviting trouble, like stepping yourself onto a minefield. Ekes a fat outside edge and it flies flat to gully. Dan Lawrence is standing nice and low and snaps a fine catch. This one-sided series refuses to change its rhythm. Pakistan slide down further and are 24/3.  24/3

9.3 OUT! EASY CATCH! Pakistan are left gobsmacked. Nothing shot, really, by Masood. Short of a length around leg stump, clocked at 141 kph, angling across the batter. Masood lifts his front leg up in the air and looks to tuck it away into the leg side but goes through with a half-hearted short-arm jab, and a leading edge balloons up in the air. The substitute fielder at short mid-wicket, Sam Cook, settles underneath and pockets a straightforward catch. England are running riot now. Archer picks up his second wicket. Pakistan are 26/4 in just 9.3 overs.  26/4

15 OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Absolute ripper from Tongue as he also gets into the wickets. Good areas from him and that's a massive, massive blow for Pakistan. Good-length delivery outside off, angling into the stumps, and it stays a touch low on the batter. Babar, though, gets it all wrong, defending from the crease, and gets beaten for pace too. The ball zips past the outside edge and crashes into the off stump. Babar is absolutely shell-shocked and takes a bit of a while to trudge off. The score reads 48/5 with the tourists in all sorts of trouble.  48/5

26.1 OUT! OFF STUMP FLATTENED! Peach of a delivery from Tongue to end Shakeel's vigil and get his fourth wicket. Wobbled-seam delivery, full and deviating in from outside off. Saud Shakeel leans forward to block but he plays the initial line and does not account for the ball to rifle into him. That leaves a yawning gap between bat and pad and the ball barges through to uproot the off stump. Truly, a seamer's delight and even Saud gives a little nod to the bowler. Pakistan are 107/9.  107/9

16.5 OUT! LBW! Ghori is trapped in front. Good-length delivery, just outside off, and it nips back in sharply off the seam by staying evidently low on bounce. Ghori is outfoxed completely, playing all around it, beaten on the inside edge as the ball raps him on the back pad. That one looks awfully straight from square on. Another confident LBW appeal and this time, Gaffaney raises his finger instantly. This looks stone-dead and Ghazi is already on his march before Shakeel insists him to take the review. Nothing on UltraEdge and the Ball Tracking shows that it is clipping the top of the leg stump. Pakistan are 64/6, falling apart badly in Birmingham.  64/6

20.4 OUT! BOWLED! Off stump destroyed, bails flying in either direction, and it's wicket number three for Tongue. Pinpoint accuracy from him. He cannons in a toe-crushing yorker, landing it right at the base of the off and middle stumps. Too good for the debutant to handle. Mohammad Imran is very late to jam the bat down and hears the death rattle behind him as the ball makes an absolute mess of the off-stump. Pakistan have completely capitulated now, tumbling to 84 for 7.  84/7

23.3 OUT! EDGED AND GONE! There's the 8th wicket down. On a fuller length, outside off, nipping away off the surface. Razaullah, with no intention to cave in, tries to hammer it away, flashing his blade hard. But in this process, he loses his shape and gets a massive outside edge and the ball is gobbled up by Ben Duckett at first slip. It keeps going from bad to worse for Pakistan as they are 101/8.  101/8

33.5 OUT! CAUGHT AT SECOND SLIP! Archer wraps it up, bagging a three-for as Pakistan have been skittled out on 133. Archer rifles in a good-length delivery around the off pole, clocking it at 141 kph. Abbas stays leg side of it and pushes tentatively away from his body, only to find an outside edge that flies straight to Harry Brook at second slip. A routine take for him and he is not dropping those at all.  133/10

4 OUT! CAUGHT BY BABAR! Much-needed early breakthrough for Pakistan. Ali is absolutely pumped up and one can spot the delight on Babar's face as well. Full in length and outside the off stump. It lands and nips away just a bit from the surface. Ben Duckett is drawn forward and tries to hammer it through covers, but gets a fat outside edge towards second slip. Babar Azam stays nice and low and takes a good catch while tumbling on his back. Ben Duckett's underwhelming run in this series continues as he is yet to get out of the 20s. England are 12/1, trailing by 121 runs.  12/1

33.4 OUT! CHOPPED ON! A wicket out of nowhere for Pakistan and it is Razaullah who gives them a much-needed breakthrough. He lets out a huge roar and ends Gay's impressive knock. Bowls it relatively fuller than the previous ball and once again, he gets the ball to nip back into the batter from outside off. Gay does not lean fully across and just plays away from his body to access the off side with a drive, but gets an inside edge onto the back pad before the ball rolls back into the stumps behind. Razaullah gets his second wicket. First Root, and now Gay. England are 143/4, leading by 10 runs.  143/4

6.2 OUT! LBW! Abbas with a beauty and strikes big. He lands it on a good length and the ball jags back in sharply off the surface. Cox looks to play it on the up and push it down the ground, but the ball zips past his inside edge and rams on his back thigh pad. Massive celebrappeal by Ghori and Abbas and the umpire raises his finger after giving it a thought. Cox has a word with Gay and sends up for a review. But this looks pretty straight and Ball Tracking confirms it. The ball is projected to crash into the middle and leg stumps. Three reds and Cox is gone. England lose the review and are 24/2, trailing by 109 runs.  24/2

11.4 OUT! LBW! And there's Razaullah's maiden Test wicket, and what a big fish this is. In the form of Root. He is overjoyed and why not! Bowls a length-delivery, attacking the stumps with a little bit of an inward deviation. Enough to trap Root in front. He drags his bat in front by getting pinned in the crease but plays the wrong line and is rapped hard on the front pad. A confident appeal goes up and about from Pakistan and up goes the finger. But Joe has straightaway reviewed it. UltraEdge detects nothing. Ball Tracking confirms three reds with the ball smashing the leg stump. Root takes the review with him and England have been reduced to 39/3, trailing by 94 runs.  39/3

49.1 OUT! BROOK IS RUN OUT! That's a brain-fade moment from Harry Brook and he is distraught with himself. Saim Ayub bowls it flatter, pushing it into the pads. Brook presses back and clips it to the right of mid-wicket. The batters set off for the single, but Brook starts running quickly only after jogging the first few steps. It's pretty late when he realizes that he's in trouble. Shan Masood is quick to the ball and is quick to fire the throw back to the bowler as well. Ayub whips off the bails and Brook is well short. End of a 86-run stand for the 5th wicket.  229/5

61.2 OUT! PLAYED ON! Dan Lawrence is fuming after that dismissal, but kudos to Mohammad Imran for stepping up to break the 64-run partnership. This is just a shade behind the good length, pitching it outside off and nipping in pretty late. Dan Lawrence crouches a bit to steer it toward backward point, but as the ball jags back, it takes the inside edge and deflects off to crash into the stumps. Dan Lawrence has to depart after a handy knock, and the lead is 160.  293/6

77.4 OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Razaullah threatens to have a throw at the batter but then holds himself back and lets out a huge roar. He is all pumped up. That is a pretty soft dismissal from Smith, and with that, Pakistan get their eighth wicket. This one is fuller in length, nipping in, around off and middle. Jamie Smith looks to flick it across the line, but ends up offering the shot a bit early. The ball catches the leading edge and lobs back to the bowler. Razaullah, who is just finishing his follow-through, steadies himself and pouches it in front of his face. England are 372/8 with a lead of 239 runs.  372/8

70 OUT! CASTLED! Bowled neck and crop. Mohammad Imran breaks through. Imran pushes the length up and gets the ball to tail back into the right-hander, on off and middle. Atkinson presses forward with a straight bat, but the ball keeps coming in and sneaks past the inside edge. It grazes the back pad before going on to uproot the off pole. England are 331/7 with a lead of 198 runs.  331/7

83.1 OUT! CAUGHT! No celebrations from the rest of the Pakistan players, but Razaullah has his arms aloft. This is pitched up, outside off. Robinson does not move his feet at all and goes hard on the drive with his hands. He can't keep it down and picks out Shan Masood at cover-point, who gets on his knees and takes a good, low catch inches off the turf. Wicket number 4 for Razaullah, and he has an opportunity to pick up a five-wicket haul on Test debut. England are now 9 down with a lead of 276 runs.  409/9

89 OUT! EDGED AND GONE! That is the wicket Pakistan were searching for a very long time and it's Mohammad Ali who gets the final wicket of the innings. England have been bowled out with a lead of 320 runs. He scoots wide of the crease once again and angles in, pitching it outside off. Josh Tongue attempts to defend it on his front foot, but the ball shapes away just a shade to take a faint outside edge before it gets into the gloves of Ghazi Ghori behind the stumps.  453/10

0.1 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! The start couldn't get any sweeter than this. Ollie Robinson scoots around the wicket, pitching it around good length, outside off. Saim Ayub plants his front foot toward the delivery, looking to force the drive away but the ball moves away a bit off the seam. The ball flies flat toward the right of the second slip fielder and it's none other than Harry Brook who pouches the catch safely into his hands. A pair for Ayub, who was flown in for this game.  0/1

30.2 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Lawrence breaks the deadlock in his very first over. Drifts the ball down the leg stump line, on a fuller length. Azan is sucked on the front foot and tries to play across the line but the ball sneaks close to the inside edge before nestling into Jordan Cox's glove. Cox in fact dislodges the bails in a flash for a possible stumping. A big appeal for caught behind goes around, but the umpire denies. Joe Root wastes no time in sending it upstairs. He is at leg slip and seems confident to have heard something. And Root gets the review spot on. UltraEdge detects a spike and the on-field decision is overturned. Cox wasn't really confident about it, but it was a good sharp grab to his right. Pakistan are 125/3, trailing by 195 runs.  125/3

It goes low to first slip, where Joe Root hangs low and gets his fingers under the ball to snaffle it. A three-ball duck for Abdullah. Pakistan are 0/2. 49.2 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Shan Masood has to walk back, agonizingly so, and we still don't have an individual ton in this series. Gus Atkinson finds the right length, bowling it a few inches shorter of a good length and in that corridor of uncertainty. Masood presses back and has a tentative poke at it, and edges it down wide of second slip. Dan Lawrence, who is standing at fourth slip, dives low to his right and snaffles it with the right hand, plucking it inches off the ground. Pakistan are now 214/4, still trailing by 106 runs.  214/4

62.3 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Babar Azam was looking scratchy in the last two or so overs and has thrown his wicket away here. Josh Tongue bowls another short-pitched delivery, angling it down leg. Azam is early to back away and then tries to move out of the way, eventually glancing it behind. Jordan Cox springs to his left and takes an excellent diving catch. Pakistan lose their fifth wicket, and they still trail by 42 runs, leaving the door ajar for the English bowlers.  278/5

69.2 OUT! CAUGHT! Finally, some success for Jofra Archer and he's more relieved than happy. Archer bangs it in short but keeps the seam upright. The ball lands around off, and jags back in with some sharp bounce. Saud Shakeel, who had been ducking really well, gets pegged back and takes his eyes off the ball, jabbing his bat in front of his face. The ball catches the gloves and then hits the helmet lobbing up. Emilio Gay at forward short leg moves to his right and takes an easy catch. Pakistan still trail by 14 runs, and are now 6 down for 306.  306/6

72.4 OUT! EDGED AND CAUGHT BEHIND! Atkinson has his second wicket as the last recognised batter for Pakistan departs. He bashes the length hard and it nips in off the seam, on top of off and middle. It cuts Ghazi into half as he looks to block off the back foot. But leaves a yawning gap between bat and pad and the ball grazes the inside edge to shoot low in front of the keeper. Jordan Cox with another brilliant catch as he dives forward, a bit to his left, and scoops it cleanly. The tourists are 312/7, trailing by 8 runs.  312/7

74.4 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Another brilliant catch from Cox and Atkinson gets his third wicket. Carbon copy Ghori's wicket, this one. Nips in from a good length, on top of middle. Mohammad Imran is pinned in the crease, getting completely cramped for space. His bat comes down at an angle as he looks to block from the crease but ekes a thin inside edge back to the keeper. Jordan Cox stretches on his dive to his left and gobbles up a fine catch. It is falling apart quickly now for Pakistan. They are 318/8, trailing by 2 runs.  318/8

96.4 OUT! STUMPED! Pakistan are bowled out for 449, but every single person at Edgbaston is up on their feet, applauding an innings from a debutant that was as brave as it was entertaining. With the way he was going about butchering the ball in all parts of the ground, he deserved to get to three figures. Full and fired down outside off, Razaullah comes flying down the track looking to launch it back over the bowler's head, but the extra pace and the lower trajectory of the ball beats the bat, and Jordan Cox is lightning quick to whip the bails off with Razaullah off-balance and out of his crease by a mile. England have been set a total of 130 runs to chase.  449/10

95.1 OUT! CAUGHT! And at long last, England have a wicket. Good length outside off that nips back in. Abbas backs away and has a casual go, only to skew it uppishly toward backward point, where Atkinson dives low to his right and comes up with a smart catch. A highly entertaining 121-run partnership is broken and Pakistan are 439/9, leading by 119 runs. Abbas walks off with a huge round of applause from one and all at Edgbaston.  439/9
