7.1 OUT! Yes, it is plumb! India do get the English skipper. Bumrah must be a relieved man. Sharma continuing to bowl a bit fuller lands it just outside off. The ball hits the deck and nips back in. Root comes forward tentatively to block it out. Ishant's natural angle and the inward movement beats Root's inside edge and raps him, in what seems to be in front of the wickets. Kumar Dharmasena has no hesitation in giving it out. Root has a chat with Cook and decides to go for the review. The replay shows that the ball is hitting in line and there is no problem with the height as well as the ball is seen crashing into the stumps. What a wicket to have as your 250th Test scalp.  15/2

13 OUT! Bairstow can do nothing against this peach of a delivery from Bumrah. He lands this one on a length just outside off. Bairstow, after doing well in leaving these ones until now, is drawn into a defensive shot, may be because of Bumrah's angle and also the fact that this one is just that bit closer to the off stump. The ball pitches and straightens, the slight change in line gets the outside edge. It flies to Pant who pouches it and throws it high up in the air with delight. Bairstow has to take the long walk back. Interestingly, in the previous innings at Trent Bridge, Jonny was dismissed by Bumrah in a similar fashion.  28/3

34.4 OUT! Three reds and there goes England's best all-rounder. Even the review couldn't save him and in turn, Stokes couldn't save the review either. Shami's consistent line and length gets rewarded. He lands this one on a length just outside off, angling in from around the wicket. Stokes gets across and tries to keep it out but the ball pitches and sharply nips into the southpaw. It beats the inside edge and raps him on his front pad. The Indian players appeal and the umpire obliges. Stokes though feels he has a chance to get away with this one. He decides to challenge the decision. The Snicko doesn't detect any spike. Time for the Hawk Eye. It shows the ball is hitting in line and is crashing into the stumps. Stokes is a dead duck and what's more, England have lost both their reviews now.  86/6

26.3 OUT! Kohli takes a sharp one at third slip. England have lost half their side. Shami continues to land it in the corridor of uncertainty. Gets the ball to move away on pitching. Buttler, stuck in his crease, reaches out at the ball and goes for a drive on the up. This results in him getting the outside edge and the ball flies towards third slip at an awkward height. The Indian captain positioned there is alert and sharp enough to catch it sideways to his right. He made a sharp catch look easy, a mark of a good fielder. It should also be noted that after the four on the first ball of the over, Kohli removed the man at covers and got him in the gully position. The gap in the cover region tempted Buttler to go for the shot and the visitors are rewarded for some good thinking and better execution. In the last innings, Buttler had made the Indians pay for dropping him but he cannot capitalize this time around.  69/5

74 OUT! The change of bat has led to doom for Broad! Jasprit Bumrah has provided the much-needed breakthrough for India and he lets out a grunt. He steams in from around the wicket and bowls a good length ball around off. It hits the deck and comes with the natural angle as Broad is late to bring his bat down in time and is hit in front of the wickets. The visitors appeal in unison and the umpire raises the dreaded finger. Stuart was beaten for pace there. The 63-run stand from 57 balls has been nipped in the bud. 17.5 OUT! Broad gets his man to play and gets him to nick. Four previous balls which went away, Dhawan was happy to leave them alone. This one too is shaping away but he is tempted to fish at this. Broad serves this full on that fifth stump channel, Dhawan leans ahead to drive it but doesn't commit himself fully to it. Ends up getting a thick outside edge. The ball flies towards the cordon where Buttler dives to his left and takes a good low catch. Both the openers have been sent back by Broad. India still trail by 196 runs. He steams in from over the wicket and bowls a fuller length ball in the avenue of apprehension. After landing, the ball nips in appreciably. Rahul falls over a touch in an attempt to flick it across and misses. Is pinged on the pads and Broad rises up in a vociferous appeal. Umpire Kumar Dharmasena thinks about it and then raises his finger. The body language of KL suggests that he is not confident. Has a talk with his partner and reluctantly signals for the 'T'. Time for the replays. Snicko doesn't spot anything. Hawk Eye rolls in and displays three reds. The right-hander is on his way back. His woes around the off stump continue to haunt him.  37/1

It shows that Stokes very likely has his front foot over the line, but the TV umpire is heard saying he thinks it's fine. The rest, well, all three boxes are ticked and Rahane is out of here. He has no idea about it, tries to awkwardly defend it but it goes off his gloves and pops up behind to Alastair Cook at first slip, who takes a dolly. 12.1 OUT! Bumrah strikes! It's Alastair Cook he gets this time. A full delivery going across, perfect length for Cook as he's drawn into the cover drive. He plays away from his body and a thick edge results. It flies to KL Rahul at second slip, who can't take it on the first go. Juggles a couple of times but eventually holds on to it. India have their first breakthrough. England trail by 3 runs.  24/1

31.5 OUT! Plumb! There were no two thoughts about it. I don't know what was the review about. Shami comes in from round the wicket and hurls this full and around off. The ball comes back in and hits Jennings on the back leg who is beaten through his defense. Shami appeals while celebrating and the umpire raises his finger. Keaton after a long chat with his partner takes it up. Replays show us three reds and Keaton can have his lunch in his own time.  92/3

15.4 OUT! Got 'em! The catch is clean according to the TV umpire and Moeen Ali is out of here. The move to send him up the order hasn't worked out. Lovely delivery from Ishant Sharma. Uses that round the wicket angle so well. Angles it in at first and then makes it go away. Moeen Ali has no choice but to put bat on ball as it's dangerously close to the off stump. The edge is drawn and it goes behind towards Rahul at second slip. He dives low to his right, takes it and celebrates. The umpire, however, isn't sure if the catch is clean and refers it upstairs. Fullish ball around off, Stokes taps it towards mid on and takes off. Root is a bit slow to react and Mohammed spots that. He takes some steps in, attacks the ball and fires a bullet to uproot the stumps at the keeper's end as Joe tries to drag his bat in. The visitors are already celebrating as Root has an anxious look on his face. He walks towards his partner gingerly and his body language is not confident. Time for the replays. 68.1 OUT! That's a big, big wicket in the context of the game and it is Ashwin who has finally found a way! He switches to over the wicket and bowls a quicker one outside off. Stokes tries to jam it out but gets a thick outside edge behind. Rahane at first slip is sharp as a hawk and takes a fine catch. The 56-run stand has been cut short. The southpaw looks very angry with himself. He was playing quite well and he would be sad that he failed to convert it into a big one. Is this the opening India needed? They will certainly hope so. Rahane at first slip cannot stop it cleanly and the batsmen take off for a run. With Ishant Sharma running in from third man, the batsmen look to steal another run and turn back for the second. May be Sam wanted to keep strike as this was the first ball of the over. The birthday boy picks up and flings a perfect flat throw right on top of the bails which Pant whips off in a jiffy. 8.3 OUT! India are in all sorts of troubles! Anderson is in tremendous rhythm and is running through them. He lands this one on a length around off and there is some nibble in the air. Dhawan gets squared up as he comes a touch forward and pushes at it but gets a thick outside edge behind. Stokes who is stationed in the gully region gets low to his left and takes a brilliant catch. That was traveling at a fast pace and he did extremely well to pouch it. England are cock-a-hoop at the moment. They need 7 more wickets to win this game while the visitors are still 223 runs adrift of where they have to be.  22/3

3.1 OUT! Hard luck, Rahul! He could have barely done anything about it. England strike early. Broad keeps it on a good length around off and it doesn't take off at all. Rahul hangs back in his crease and looks to block it out but is undone completely as he is late to bring his bat down.
