Speaking to members of the press, Dravid stressed that the need was and is to stay cautious but he respects the decision made by three former Chief Justices. "I would have taken action action against players if I knew they were involved in suspicious activities. (But) I don't need to defend myself," said Dravid. "I do respect the decision made by the Supreme Court-panel. There were three former judges and they would have surely seen something to arrive at their decision." Asked if he felt the suspension of Rajasthan and Chennai Super Kings has dented IPL's image, Dravid said it is all a matter of perception. "If people think the suspension on the two teams is a blot on IPL, I can't help it," said Dravid, who is also the coach of the India 'A' team. "I want to ensure a good team environment and that players play with freedom. The decisions to suspend is tough on a lot of people but one needs to respect it. I am not really in a position to talk about the fate of CSK and RR."
