Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and senior batsman Sachin Tendulkar were among the Indian cricketers, who arrived in Mohali on Monday for the third Test against Australia, starting Thursday.
Besides Dhoni and Tendulkar, other Indian cricketers who also arrived were Ishant Sharma, Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravichandran Ashwin.
The Indians are leading the series 2-0 against the demoralised Australians whose tour today turned from bad to worse with the expulsion of four cricketers for ignoring team management orders.
In an unprecedented move, Australia axed vice-captain Shane Watson and three other key players from the side for the third Test against India for failing to obey team management orders, giving a shocking twist to their already disastrous tour.
Watson, pacers James Pattinson and Mitchell Johnson and batsman Usman Khawaja were dropped for failing to make a presentation on how to improve their personal as well as the team's performance after the innings and 135 runs defeat in the second Test in Hyderabad.
The visitors lost the opening Test in Chennai by eight wickets.
