Cheteshwar Pujara Set to Join Derbyshire

Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara made 81 against Midlands county Derbyshire in a tour match but struggled in the ensuing 3-1 defeat by England in a five-Test series, where he made 222 runs at an average of 22.20 with a top score of 55.

India batsman Cheteshwar Pujara is set to join Derbyshire for the final three County Championship fixtures of the season, it was announced Saturday. (Also read: 'Kohli, Pujara cannot be compared to Sachin, Dravid')

The 26-year-old made 81 against the Midlands county in a tour match but struggled in the ensuing 3-1 defeat by England in a five-Test series, where he made 222 runs at an average of 22.20 with a top score of 55.

Derbyshire are currently seventh in the Second Division of the Championship, two places off the bottom.
