Cricket Australia's (CA) National Selection Panel (NSP) on Monday, confirmed that all-rounder Cameron White will remain with the Australian one-day squad in South Africa as cover for the injured Shane Watson and Shaun Marsh.
White was due to fly back to Australia after Sunday night's second and final Twenty20 International but will now remain with the 50-over squad indefinitely.
Australian team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said: "Shane Watson is recovering from a hip muscle strain which caused him to miss yesterday's second Twenty20. He will continue with treatment and we will assess him over the next 24 hours before a decision is made on his availability for the first ODI game Wednesday.
"Shaun Marsh injured his left shoulder when diving in the field during the second Twenty20 at the Wanderers. He has undergone scans in Johannesburg which have cleared him of any major damage and he will be assessed closer to the game Wednesday."
