Sydney:
Australia beat Pakistan by 36 runs to win the 2nd Test in Sydney and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3 Test series.
Australia began the fourth day of the Test on 286 for 8 and it was Michael Hussey's unbeaten 134 that helped them make 381.
And Nathan Hauritz took 5-53 as the hosts avoided a first Test loss to Pakistan since 1995 despite having conceded a 206-run first-innings deficit.
Umar Akmal's knock of 49 was the only innings of substance among Pakistan's batsmen.
Only twice in 132 years has Australia come back from a bigger deficit to snatch victory.
The third Test starts on the 14th January in Hobart.
