SOUTH KOREA BEAT IRAN BASKETBALL THRILLER
Hosts South Korea upset continental champions Iran 79-77 in an exciting basketball final to capture their fourth title -- and first since stunning Yao Ming's China at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan.
SRI LANKA END AFGHANISTAN'S CRICKET DREAM
Test nation Sri Lanka denied Afghanistan their first ever Asian Games gold medal as they overcame a batting slump to win the cricket final by 68 runs on Friday. Bowled out for 133, the Sri Lankans hit back to skittle the impatient Afghan batsmen for 65 in the Twenty20 match.
BAHRAIN'S HASAN WINS EXCITING MARATHON
Mahboob Alli Hasan of Bahrain won the men's marathon in two hours, 12 minutes and 38 seconds -- just .01 seconds ahead of second-placed Kohei Matsumura of Japan. Another Japanese, Yuki Kawauchi, finished third only .04 seconds behind the winner.
CHINA SWEEP ALL 10 DIVING TITLES

INDIA REMAIN KABADDI KINGS
India defeated Iran in both events to win the men's and women's kabaddi titles. It was the men's seventh successive gold medal in the rural sport.
CHINA DOMINATES MODERN PENTATHLON
Guo Jianli won the men's individual gold medal in modern pentathlon and then led team-mates Han Jiahao, Su Haihang and Zhang Linbin to victory in the team event. Jung Jin-Hwa of South Korea took the individual silver and Shohei Iwamoto of Japan won the bronze.
