Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea won 7-6 (4) 7-6 (3) after battling hard for one hour and 22 minutes against the Croat-Finn pair in the quarter-finals of the Euro grass court tournament.
Second seeds Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea struggled past Marin Draganja and Henri Kontinen in two tight sets to make it to the semi-finals of the Gerry Weber Open on Thursday.
The Indo-Romanian pair won 7-6 (4) 7-6 (3) after battling hard for one hour and 22 minutes against the Croat-Finn pair in the quarter-finals of the Euro 169,6645 grass court tournament.

Bopanna and Mergea did not get any break chance in the opening set but they saved three breakpoints on their serve to take lead via tie-breaker.
In the second set, the two pairs had one chance each for the break of serve but they did not succeed and eventually it was too decided through a tie-breaker in which the second seeds prevailed.
Bopanna and his partner next face the American pair of Eric Butorac and Scott Lipsky. They came into this event after winning the Mercedes Cup, last week.
