Rohan Bopanna, Florin Mergea Enter Doubles Final of Sydney International Tournament
Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea entered the final of the Sydney International tournament with a straight sets win over Thomaz Bellucci and Leonardo Mayer.

India's Rohan Bopanna and his Romanian partner Florin Mergea entered the final of the Sydney International with straight sets win over Thomaz Bellucci and Leonardo Mayer on Tuesday. (Rohan Bopanna And I Can Win Olympic Medal: Leander Paes)

Seeded fourth, Bopanna and Mergea defeated their Brazilian-Argentine opponents 7-6(8) 6-2 to progress to the summit clash of the the USD 461,330 hard court tournament in the run-up to the Australian Open.

Bopanna and Mergea will now face Jamie Murray of Great Britain and Brazil's Bruno Soares in the final.

Soares and Murray had defeated Polish pair of Lukasz Kubot and Marcin Matkowski 7-5 2-6 10-3 in the other semifinal.

Bopanna is defending champion at this event. He had won the trophy last year with Canadian partner Daniel Nestor. He tweeted about the result as well
