Pattaya Open: Sania enters into semi finals

India's Sania Mirza has advanced to the semi finals of the Pattaya Open, beating Mara Santangelo of Italy 6-4, 7-6. Sania beat Thailand's Tamarine Tanasugarn on Wednesday and continued her good form as she upset 38th ranked Santangelo in the quarter-finals. The 49th ranked Sania now faces 51st ranked Giesela Dulko of Argentina in the last four. After this tournament Sania will play in the Bangalore Open from February 12. Serena Williams had said a few days ago that Mirza is playing even better tennis than she had when she played her at the Australian Open in 2005. The Hyderabadi hurricane proved the eight time grandslam champion right by advancing to the semi-finals.
