Paris:
Former French Open champion Carlos Moya prefers to be the main attraction when he's playing at Roland Garros.
The 29-year-old Moya reached the fourth round last year, but never had a chance to play on Court Philippe Chatrier, the main arena.
On Wednesday, he made a successful return to Court Philippe Chatrier, beating Mikhail Youzhny of Russia 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in the second round.
"I don't want to see (Court) Suzanne Lenglen," 1998 champion Moya said.
"I don't want to go there because that's where I lost over the past two years. I'm happy because at my age, it's not my best year. I've been able to play on center court in the second round - that gives you strength," he added
Moya, whose best result this season was winning the title at Buenos Aires, believes his appointment on Court Philippe Chatrier is a reflection of his continued star status.
"You can see you're still important, you're still well-considered,'' he said.
"I have great memories of that central court because that's where I won my first Grand Slam, my only Grand Slam," he said. (AP)
