Los Angeles:
Top seed Andre Agassi was defeated 7-6 (5), 6-7 (6), 6-3 by Germany's Tommy Haas in the quarterfinals of the Mercedes-Benz Cup in Los Angeles on Friday night. Agassi's loss to the former top-10 player Haas, who only returned from a year long injury lay-off five month ago, stretches the 34-year-olds tournament winless streak to more than a year. Haas will now meet unseeded Frenchman Cyril Saulnier, who upset No. 3 seed Mardi Fish. (AP)
