Prague:
The Czech Republic has picked the same lineup that successfully defended its Fed Cup title last November for the team's first round match against Australia next month.
Captain Petr Pala named Petra Kvitova and Lucie Safarova on Monday for the singles matches to be played Feb. 9-10 at the indoor CEZ Arena in the eastern city of Ostrava.
The doubles pair will again be Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka, who reached the U.S. Open and London Olympics finals.
The Czechs retained their title by beating Serbia 3-1 in Prague, becoming the third country in a row to do so. Russia won in 2007-08 and Italy 2009-10.
Next month will be the first time the two teams meet in the Fed Cup since the breakup of the former Czechoslovakia in 1993.
