Jo-Wilfried Tsonga joined the French team as Hopman Cup entries were completed on Tuesday, with the Serbian pair of Novak Djokovic and Ana Ivanovic earning the No. 1 seeding.
The 25th edition of the international mixed team competition will be played Dec. 29-Jan. 5 at the new Perth Arena. Venus Williams will join 2011 champion John Isner on the U.S. team that is seeded No. 2.
Australian Open champion Djokovic said the tournament was an ideal tuneup for the first major of 2013 at Melbourne Park. Serbia has been grouped with No. 3 Italy, No. 5 Germany and No. 8 Australia.
Williams and Isner will play against No. 4 Spain, No. 6 South Africa and No. 7 France.
The top team in each group advances to the final.
