Groenefeld wins Mexican Open final
Second-seeded Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany beat defending champion Flavia Pennetta of Italy 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 to win the Mexican Open final on Saturday.

Second-seeded Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany beat defending champion Flavia Pennetta of Italy 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 to win the Mexican Open final on Saturday.
Groenefeld cruised through the first set on the clay court of the Fairmont Acapulco Princess.
Pennetta rallied in the second, breaking Groenefeld's serve to take the set.
The 20-year-old started moving Pennetta around the court more in the third set, to get the tournament title and the first prize check of $27,970. (AP)
