More than four years after playing his last Davis Cup tie, Germany's Tommy Haas is considering making his comeback ahead of next month's first-round match against Argentina.
"Davis Cup with or without Haas in 2012? Should I go on the attack with the boys again? What do you think?" he wrote to fans on his Twitter account.
Haas, 33, last played for Germany in the Davis Cup in 2007 during the semi-final defeat to Russia, but has a remarkable record of 22 wins and eight defeats in the competition.
The former world number two lost to Spain's Rafael Nadal (6-4, 6-3, 6-4) during the second round of the Australian Open recently.
Germany's Davis Cup captain Patrick Kuehnen has said he has Haas in mind against Argentina, who lost to Spain in the 2010 final last December, in Bamberg on February 10-12.
