Top-seeded Kim Clijsters of Belgium overwhelmed second-seeded Magdalena Maleeva of Bulgaria 6-1, 6-2 in Sunday's final of the $225,000 Seat Open WTA tournament. Defending champion Clijsters made a move early on, with three breaks in the first set, and the world's No. 5 had little trouble keeping the Bulgarian, ranked 10 places below her, at bay in the second. The final was finished within an hour. It was the third time Clijsters, 19, won the Luxembourg event. This was her ninth career victory and the third this year, with wins in Hamburg and Filderstadt. It also completed a Belgian double this week, since Justine Henin won the event in Linz, Austria on Sunday. Henin overpowered Alexandra Stevenson of the United States 6-3, 6-0 in less than an hour to win the $585,000 Generali Open WTA tournament. (AP)
