Bhupathi to play in French Open

Indian doubles' star Mahesh Bhupathi, recovering from groin and calf muscle injuries, hopes to be fit by tomorrow and will not miss the French Open commencing in Paris on May 24. "Mahesh is recovering, and he hopes to be fit by Friday. He is leaving for France on Saturday," his father Krishna Bhupathi said. The 29-year-old player, who is currently on a visit to Kolkata, has been under rehabilitation after the sprain suffered during the Hamburg Masters Series last week. Mahesh, who has been under strengthening programme, will partner with Belarus' Max Mirnyi. (PTI)
