Canadian seventh seed Eugenie Bouchard survived a mid-match slump to defeat Irina-Camelia Begu of Romania and reach the Australian Open quarter-finals on Sunday.
Bouchard, 20, a semi-finalist last year, downed the world number 42 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 to set up a last eight meeting with second seed Maria Sharapova.
