Hamirpur gives rousing reception to ace marksman Vijay Kumar
London Olympics silver medalist shooter Subedar Vijay Kumar was on Saturday accorded rousing reception on his arrival at Harsaur, his native village in Hamirpur district.

London Olympics silver medalist shooter Subedar Vijay Kumar was on Saturday accorded rousing reception on his arrival at Harsaur, his native village in Hamirpur district.
He was received at Badsar by the SDM, police officers, elite of the town and large number of youngsters who were crazy to have a glimpse of their hero.
At soon as he reached Harsaur, his grandmother was the first to hug him. Hamirpur Deputy Commissioner, Rajendra Singh and SP Madhusudan Sharma also presented bouquets to the Army shooter for his achievement.
Talking to reporters, Vijay Kumar hailed the decision of state government to construct a shooting range at Hamirpur. Setting at rest speculations about quitting the Army,
Vijay said that the armed forces were like his mother and whatever he is today is because of the the Army. Asked about his marriage, he said that it would be decided by his parents.
He thanked the people of the state in general and Hamirpur district in particular for keeping faith in him and showering love and affection during the Olympics.
