Following a near doctor's stoppage, a badly bloodied Topuria returns to a wild boxing match, exchanging heavy hooks and body shots with Gaethje. Whilst Topuria finds success with an overhand right and a late hip toss into full mount, his face is absolutely shattered by Gaethje's crisp jabs and a nasty, hurting uppercut.

In the dying seconds, Gaethje explodes out of the mount, sprawls on a desperate takedown attempt, and crushes the champion with a brutal, grounded knee to the body. No knockout in the 4th round, but the doctor refused to let the fight carry on as the damage Topuria has suffered is far too serious. Justin Gaethje is the new Lightweight champion, handing Ilia Topuria his first-ever win in the Octagon. 

The tables turn, and it's Gaethje who turns the tables in this bout. He lands a couple of direct jabs and then a punch to a bloodied Topuria before attempting a takedown. The champion's takedown defence stats say it all. He thwarts the attempt effectively. 

Gaethje rocks Topuria with a massive one-two combination and immediately locks in a tight D'Arce choke, forcing the bloodied champion into pure survival mode on the canvas.

Though Topuria bravely battles back to his feet, a surging Gaethje continues to dominate the striking exchanges, landing heavy uppercuts and a spectacular jumping knee before punctuating his massive round with a late head kick. The third round ends with Gaetha landing a fierce kick right on the unguarded face of Topuria.

Topuria establishes his range with sharp body-and-head jabs, quickly neutralizing Gaethje's uncommitted takedown threats and backing him against the fence. The champion then swarms with a relentless, brutal barrage of hooks and body shots that leaves Gaethje crumpled on the canvas.

Slicing effortlessly into full mount, Topuria showcases his elite grappling by transitioning smoothly through dominant positions whilst threatening with multiple armbars and triangle setups. Gaethje bravely survives the late onslaught, but it is a masterclass round for the champion.

It's the first match of the event that has gone into the third round. But, remember, there are a total of 5 rounds in this bout.

Topuria, as was expected, starts off on an aggressive note. Gaethje shifts gear, landing sharp jabs and patented leg kicks, whilst mixed-in takedown threats allow him to score a sneaky uppercut that bloodies Topuria early. The champion adjusts by walking Gaethje down, countering beautifully with a series of laser-like straight rights and overhand shots over the top.

In the final minute, the tactical battle completely gives way to absolute chaos. After exchanging crisp uppercuts in tight, the two elite lightweights stand in the pocket and brawl wildly against the cage, winging devastating hooks in a thrilling, nail-biting opening round.
 

Topuria arrives into the Octagon with a flawless 17-0-0 professional record, distinguished by an 88% finishing rate that includes 7 knockouts, 8 submissions, and an elite 93% takedown defence. Gaethje, in comparison, stands with a stellar 27-5-0 record.

The marquee bout of the set to get underway as the undefeated lightweight champion Ilia "El Matador" Topuria aims to solidify his reign as a two-division king in a highly anticipated title defence on the White House lawn. He faces the ultimate action fighter and top contender Justin "The Highlight" Gaethje.

Gane opens the round working the inside low kick and deftly evading yet another head kick, but the fight turns on a dime when he runs directly into a massive, counter punch in tight that sends him crashing to the canvas. In a wild, chaotic sequence, Gane somehow survives the initial danger, but as the two men exchange heavy leather, the Frenchman smells blood and completely turns the tables.

Suddenly, it is Pereira who is left hanging on for dear life as Gane unloads a devastating barrage of elbows, heavy hooks, and a crisp uppercut. Trapping the Brazilian, Gane unleashes a final, blistering two-punch hook combination that puts Pereira away, securing a spectacular stoppage to become a two-time interim heavyweight champion!

Gane claims the centre of the cage early, using fluid movement and clean jabs to dictate the tempo. Whilst Pereira repeatedly hunts for a spectacular head kick, Gane effortlessly evades and counters with a consistent inside low kick, a sharp body teep, and a heavy two-punch combination.

As the opening frame progresses, Gane increases the volume, mixing in overhand attempts and teasing takedown threats to keep the Brazilian off-balance. Pereira manages to sting back with a sharp calf kick and a hard pair of right straights in the final ten seconds, but it is comfortably Gane's round.

Remember, this is only the first round. The fight can potentially last for 5 rounds.

Pereira has simply been exceptional, with a 13-3-0 professional record in the Octagon. He also has an outstanding 62% striking accuracy and a devastating 9 career knockouts. Gane, on the other hand, has a highly tactical 13-2-0 (1 NC) record, a splendid 60% striking defence rate, and an average fight time of 13:30.

Former two-division champion Alex "Poatan" Pereira makes a historic leap up to heavyweight in an audacious bid to become the UFC's first-ever three-weight global champion. Standing in his way is the exceptionally agile former interim champion Ciryl Gane.

Wow! It looked like the second round was heading for a similar end as the first round, but one punch from O'Malley changed it all. It seems like O'Malley was stalking his prey, throwing punches behind his movement but struggling to find his range early on. Then, out of nowhere, the Canadian explodes with a booming one-two combination. He immediately follows up with a massive, laser-accurate straight left that severely rocks Zahabi, before blasting him with a second precise left hand to secure a devastating, sudden knockout victory.

O'Malley on the charge from the start, dictates the first couple of minutes of the opening round while Zahabi adopts a defensive approach at the beginning, waiting for his opportunity to counter. As the clock continues ticking, Zahabi gets into a more aggressive mode, tests O'Malley with a few kicks, jabs and right-hand punches. But, that's not enough as the first round concludes.

O'Malley holds a highly impressive record of 19-3-0 (1 NC) professional record, with 12 of those victories coming through knockout. Zahabi takes him on with a seasoned 14-2-0 record, backed by an elite 83% takedown defence rate and zero submission losses in his career.

Former bantamweight champion "Suga" Sean O'Malley brings his elite, flashy striking back to the Octagon for this historic bout at the White House. He faces the tactical and highly durable Aiemann Zahabi, who enters the biggest fight of his career riding a surging seven-fight winning streak.

Just too many direct punches from Hokit on Lewis' face, pushing the latter to the end of the Octagon. At present, Lewis just doesn't seem to have any answer for Hokit, who is dominating the second round too. A couple of hopeful attempts from Lewis but Hokit dodges them with ease. 

Hokit cracks Lewis with a succession of unanswered right hands. A desperate, wild swing from Lewis misses completely, allowing Hokit to pin him against the cage once more. After a brief stall, Hokit steps off and unleashes a final, relentless flurry that ends the bout while showing mercy.

Derrick Lewis just stands and watches as Josh Hokit teases him with jabs and kicks. Hokit lands a powerful punch on Lewis' face but it doesn't seem to have bothered the big man. 

Hokit has Lewis on the ground with a takedown, and a barrage of punches is unloaded. Hokit relentlessly pummels a bloodied Lewis from behind, opening a nasty cut on the back of the veteran's head. As Lewis turns away to survive the onslaught, they roll into a dominant mount for Hokit, who stands up to rain down heavy ground-and-pound.

In the dying seconds, Hokit transitions into a deep armbar submission attempt, which a seemingly unfazed Lewis just allows to happen. Before Hokit can force the tap, the round concludes with Lewis trapped in the submission.

Another first round knock out at the White House. What is going on? Just seconds before the Round 1 was to conclude, Mauricio Ruffy began a brutal assault on Michael Chandler.

Chandler started off the bout with low kicks and teases several uncommitted takedowns, but Ruffy quickly takes control, landing a sharp jab and a long right straight. Ruffy unleashes a spectacular spinning wheel kick against the fence, stuffs a desperate Chandler takedown attempt, and rolls him with a vicious uppercut. With Chandler completely lost and covering up, Ruffy lands another brutal spinning wheel kick followed by a clinical pair of uppercuts to put him away for a thumping knockout victory.

Up next in the Freedom 250 at White House we have the Mauricio Ruffy vs Michael Chandler bout in the Middleweight category. The Brazilian Mauricio Ruffy takes on veteran fan-favourite from USA Michael Chandler in a high-stakes lightweight clash. This bout promises pure, explosive striking as a rising contender meets an ultimate divisional gatekeeper.

What happened there? That's another Knock Out win at the White House, this time in the first round. 

Bo Nickal creates space to land a pair of heavy elbows before referee Jason Herzog calls for a stand-up. Kyle Daukaus immediately presses forward, landing an outside low kick as Nickal whiffs on two big looping punches. Nickal quickly resets, finding his range with a sharp jab before unleashing a booming right hand that drops Daukaus hard. Seizing the moment, Nickal swarms with a clinical barrage of ground-and-pound to finish the job and secure another explosive stoppage.

That's a first round win for Nickal.

Highly touted wrestling phenom Bo Nickal faces a significant step up in competition against the dangerous and experienced Kyle Daukaus. This classic "wrestler vs grappler" matchup serves as a vital test for Nickal's rapid divisional development.

While Daukaus comes in with a six-fight win streak, Nickal came to UFC after winning three NCAA wrestling championships.

Drama, absolute drama in the second round! Diego Lopes absolutely overpowers Steve Garcia after a cautious start to the second round. 

Lopes looks completely out of sorts, offering next to no offence as Garcia connects at will with a cracking right hook and a booming one-two. Then, out of nowhere, the fight turns on its head. Lopes clips Garcia with a massive hook that leaves him badly rocked. Lopes immediately swarms, unleashing a devastating barrage of punches that drops Garcia and forces the referee to wave it off. An unbelievable victory for Lopes!

Garcia dictates the pace from the opening bell, immediately grabbing Lopes’ attention with an early uppercut following a head-kick attempt. Pressing forward, Garcia pours on the pressure with a sharp straight, a heavy body kick, and a piercing jab that repeatedly finds its mark.

Lopes showcases his signature durability, absorbing another head kick before momentarily stumbling Garcia with a heavy, unorthodox pocket elbow. However, Garcia quickly recovers his composure, pinning Lopes against the fence and rattling off clean straight lefts. The first round ends. It's Garcia 10-9.

We begin the event with the Featherweight bout between Diego Lopes and Steve Garcia, two of the most aggressive fighters in the division. Garcia enters the bout on a stellar 7-fight winning streak.

The UFC broadcast has confirmed the event is officially under a rain delay. The primary concern is high winds and lightning, but the weather is expected to clear up by 9 PM ET (7:30 AM IST). These are truly unprecedented scenes!

Meanwhile, Sean Strickland, who has been trolling Donald Trump since the event was announced, has been put into the back of a police van after causing a mayhem with fans at the UFC White House event. “I’m pretty sure I didn’t break any laws,” he said in a video that has been shared on social media.

"The Claw", a metal structure looming over the cage, is a sight entirely unprecedented on the White House grounds. Fabricated by the Belgian event staging company Stageco, it was shipped internationally to the rural Pennsylvania headquarters of UFC partner TAIT Towers. Its initial assembly and modification there quickly drew the ire of nearby residents.

"Building in an empty parking lot certainly caught the attention of the neighbourhood," remarked UFC executive producer Craig Borsari.

What's behind the Freedom 250 event at White House? There are two different schools of thought. The fights are being held either to celebrate the 250th birthday of America, which is still about three weeks away, or the 80th birthday of Donald Trump. The answer varies from person to person.

Former US President Warren G. Harding and his wife invited tennis champions for a tournament in the past. The wait for the UFC Freedom 250, however, gets longer as the start of the event had to be delayed by an hour due to bad weather conditions. The event is now scheduled to start at 6:30 AM IST.
